About

The Railway Forum is the voice for the whole of the rail industry. It is the only UK railway group that represents the majority of the industry. This includes train operating companies, rolling stock leasing companies, infrastructure providers, equipment and service suppliers. The Railway Forum's role is to act as the lobby group and think tank for the industry as a whole.

The Railway Forum is the industry-wide body promoting the growth of a safe, efficient and affordable railway in the UK. It is the only UK railway group that represents the majority of the industry. This includes operating companies, rolling stock leasing companies (ROSCOs), infrastructure providers, equipment suppliers, Network Rail and Transport for London. The Passenger Transport Executive Group is an associate. In addition the Railway Industry Association (RIA) and ATOC are members and play a full part in Railway Forum Council activities.

The Railway Forum's roles are principally to act as a lobby group and think tank for the industry. In addition, we run a number of events through the year including the very popular and highly respected annual Railway Industry Innovation Awards, our Annual Conference and various seminars on such topics as Europe and the Environment.

Membership of The Railway Forum is open to any organisation that is engaged in any capacity in the UK railway industry.

We also collaborate with a number of commercial organisations to promote industry-based conferences covering a range of rail-related issues.
